Just like installing a decoration kit, installing rims requires time, precision and patience.

Before installation, clean your rims using a high pressure cleaner and a rim cleaner that you can find on the market.

Make sure to dry the rims well and clean off any remaining residue using a cloth.

Then, sit in a clean, bright space, equip yourself with brake cleaner, a clean microfiber cloth and a hair dryer or heat gun.

STEP 1: DEGREASING THE RIMS

We advise you to use a good quality brake cleaner. Don’t hesitate to use a good amount. The more, the better!

Dip your cloth in the product and apply it to the entire surface of the rim.

STEP 2: APPLYING THE STICKERS

Before removing the sticker from the backing paper, check that it matches your rim! Test alignments and positioning.

Do not remove the sticker from the backing paper in one go! You risk altering the glue with your fingers or dust particles.

Place your sticker on the side of the rim. Take the time to align the sticker on the rim.

The objective is to start sticking the middle of the sticker then come back outwards to expel the air.

When the sticker becomes too stiff or needs to be bent to fit an edge, you can start using heat (with a hair dryer or heat gun).

The heat will activate the glue, soften it and remove the air channels there.

Exerts strong pressure when applying the sticker. The harder you press, the more it will stick to the surface.

STEP 3: POST-HEATING

To increase the adhesion of the stickers, simply warm up the edges and areas of tension. Remember to press firmly on the area in question after heating it.

STEP 4: ADMIRE THE RESULT

Take a few minutes to admire your work. Grab your phone, capture your best photos and share them on your social networks by tagging us: decomotos_fr. You can also send them to us by private message, our teams will be happy to share them again.

STEP 5: WAIT AT LEAST 24 HOURS

It is important to wait 24 to 48 hours before using your motorcycle to allow the glue to bond correctly to the rims. Make sure your motorcycle is stored in a dry place and at room temperature (if it is too cold, the stickers may shrink).

Reheat the stickers one last time for optimal hold.
